Inge Helderman
Consultant
I am a strategic organisational and HR consultant, supporting organisations through change, leadership challenges and complex HR issues. Having worked with a wide range of organisations, from fast-growing scale-ups to large public sector organisations, I have learned that lasting results are achieved when strategy, structure and people development are closely aligned.
My broad background in HR and my Executive MBA from Erasmus University help me approach organisational challenges from different perspectives. I support organisations in making decisions about their structure, managing change and engaging executive boards, management and employees throughout the process. In doing so, I never lose sight of the fact that it is people who make the difference, both to an organisation’s success and to the impact it has on society.
Colleagues and clients describe me as enthusiastic, committed and results-oriented. I believe the best solutions emerge when different perspectives come together and people feel heard. Particularly in complex projects, I look for solutions that are both carefully considered and effective in practice.
Outside work, I also enjoy staying active and continuing to develop myself. I live with my family in Dorst, a small village near Breda. In my spare time, I love spending time outdoors, whether running through the forest, taking part in a bootcamp session or heading out on my road bike.
"Different perspectives lead to better results."
What is your vision for your field?
Successful organisations are built when the interests of employees and the organisation reinforce one another. I believe that being a good employer and achieving strong organisational results go hand in hand. When people have opportunities to develop, feel engaged and know they are valued, this also leads to better performance and lasting results for the organisation.
What characterises your approach when working with clients?
I am approachable and positive, and I believe in investing in strong working relationships. I enjoy working towards a shared goal and am not afraid to ask critical questions when needed. Clients can expect me to bring energy, provide direction and work alongside them to develop solutions that can genuinely be put into practice.
What is the most important lesson you have learned?
My Executive MBA gave me a wealth of knowledge. However, the most valuable lesson came from working with fellow students from different countries, sectors and backgrounds. I discovered that bringing together different perspectives leads to better decisions and stronger results. That belief remains at the heart of how I work today.
What do you value most in life?
My family is my home base. I also find great fulfilment in my work, as I enjoy working with others to drive improvement and development. Whether it involves organisations, teams or individuals, I draw energy from progress, growth and turning ideas into tangible results.
